When you are granted bail, this will likely include a range of bail conditions. Some of the more common bail conditions that may be imposed include one or more of the following:

• Attendance at all future court hearing dates
• Reporting to a police station
• Residing at a particular address
• Supervision by a friend or family member
• Curfew
• Surety – a payment to the court as a promise that the accused will comply with their bail conditions
• Surrender travel documents including passports
• Not to associate with certain people including co-accused and/or witnesses
• Not to leave your state of residence
• Not to leave Australia
• Not to attend international points of departure

In circumstances where offending has occurred in the context of an addiction, a medical or mental health condition, we have the knowledge and resources to assist you in participating in a rehabilitation program that is best suited for you, if this is what you require. We regularly refer our clients to programs which can also be incorporated into your bail conditions if necessary including:

• Court Integrated Services Program (CISP) / Credit Bail: these programs are offered by various Magistrates’ Courts

• Drug rehabilitation programs

• Forensic psychological counselling and other counselling services
